โ€œNIL Elevator Pitchโ€ of the Week โšฝ

This week, I had the privilege of interviewing Mackenzie Evers for Out2Winโ€™s exciting new content series, โ€œNIL Elevator Pitch.โ€

In this series, I give college athletes a minute to pitch themselves to brands, showcasing why they deserve investment for an NIL deal. Don't miss Mackenzie's compelling pitch!

On July 1st, 2021, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) legislation was passed. This opened up an opportunity for not just college athletes, and not just businesses, but for college students (like myself at the time) to get their foot in the door of the sports industry

Thatโ€™s how I saw it at least.

Fast forward 3 years, it's unbelievable how much we've learned and adapted at Out2Win Sports.

There have been many turns and pivots along the way, but one thing has stayed a constant: ๐’๐’–๐’“ ๐’“๐’†๐’๐’†๐’๐’•๐’๐’†๐’”๐’”๐’๐’†๐’”๐’” ๐’•๐’ ๐’Š๐’๐’๐’๐’—๐’‚๐’•๐’†

Starting as a full-service sports marketing agency, eventually pivoting into building our software, we've taken each of our learnings and experiences and combined them into what we have today with the Athlete Marketing Intelligence Platform.

I'm thankful for the opportunity that NIL provided for a kid like me to get my foot in the door. To many more, NIL ๐Ÿค

Year 4 NIL Stats

  • Olivia Dunne, the highest-paid college athlete in NIL, earned over $500,000 from a single sponsored post in 2023.

  • 35% of brands only invest in college athletes - with no major pro athlete deals.

  • 66% of all NIL transactions were Social Media and Royalty Payouts.

  • Female athletes secured the majority of NIL deals in 2023, claiming 52% of the top 100 agreements.

  • 35% of womenโ€™s NIL deals are in basketball, followed by gymnastics at 18% and volleyball at 15%.
